Copycat!

The assignment for this was to trace a page of a comic that we liked, then create a page similar to that in the same style. The original is from the Harley Quinn trade paperback. The one that is my own is of my character Tyrannosaurus-Lex who is a super villainess (although mostly just goofy).

I don't own Harley Quinn or anyone from the Batverse, this was merely an assignment and I wanted to post it to show the differences or similarities between the two!

Miss Gizzimo

This is my first assignment that I handed in for Klaus Janson's Principles of Cartooning class. The prompt was something that we did over the summer break before getting to school.

WELL, this comic is about my friend Tara and me finding the newest addition to my kitty family Gizmo! We found her down the street from the barn where I keep my horses, and ever since then she's been with us. I love her SUPER much :3

Original House

I realized that I had not posted the original of this before posting the color version :)

Time for some color!

I have to color 4 of my own pieces for a digital coloring class that I am taking this semester, so I chose to color my Foxworth and Turtleton comics! I know I am not the greatest colorist ever, but I think I am improving somewhat.

-Also, there are definitely some improvements that need to be made to these. I just haven't gotten to it yet

Finally!

Adh;lgjkchfgb! I haven't updated in forever because my internet has been awful! It wouldn't upload ANYTHING EVER. But now I am excited because I scanned a bunch of my comics and now I can post more of my work from this year onto here :D

I honestly forget the prompt for this assignment. I think it was an instructional comic. But once again, it's from storytelling with Gary Panter (although this is from the first semester)

Another semi-old piece. I was testing out my copic markers in her hair. The scan is a bit bad, but I didn't want to ruin the drawing in the process of cleaning it up in photoshop.

Giraffes

This was the first homework assignment for my storytelling class with Gary Panter. The project was 'stream of conciousness' - so I kinda just went with whatever came to mind. Being that it was one of my first assignments, it is clearly not my best work of the year. Hopefully I can post more of my comics soon.

Feets

These are actually a bit old, but only from last year. We had to draw two pictures of feet in our books, and these were both done on opposite sides of the page but on marker paper so the marker shows through. It's pretty nifty if I do say so myself!

Let Me Show You Them...

One of the more successful (and by that I mean actually started!) collaborations by Lily and Myself! You guys should all check out her blog too at http://lilunes.blogspot.com/ ! She's great :)

This basically started out as a random drawing she was doing of her friends with their favorite Pokemon (I'm on the Ivysaur!), but then I needed to bring a drawing to class to do an ink demo with my teacher Klaus Janson. I had nothing to ink, so she graciously let me take it! I am hoping to get it finished at some point. I like the way it is turning out so far.

Hot Air Balloon Adventure!

This comic was another assignment for my Storytelling class. The theme was reinforcing motifs. So I decided to put Mr. Foxworth and his trusty pal Mr. Turtleton in a hot air balloon!

I also need to scan some of my other comics. That would be a good thing.

First Mr. Foxworth and Mr. Turtleton comic!

Sorry that the scan isn't so great. This is the first comic I made with the characters Mr. Foxworth and Mr. Turtleton! They are neighbors and best friends who live in the forest next to a pond. Foxworth lives in the log, and Turtleton lives in the bush next to the log! In this comic they happen to be attending a fancy party...that is just them...

This was done with a nib to ink and copic greyscale markers

Mr. Foxworth

This is the initial character sheet for one of my newer characters, Mr. Foxworth! I made him for a project in my Storytelling class, and since then I have used him in many more projects. He's a lot of fun!
This is just a silly drawing I did for my Digital Coloring class. We super imposed the picture into a photoshop file that we were working on and so on and so forth... I have a colored version but I prefer this one.

First Post

I finally jumped on the bandwagon of making an art blog! Hurray for me! Now I can be on the internet for realz ( and not just on deviantart). I am going to start uploading some stuff soon! GET EXCITED?
